IMAGES & COPYRIGHT NOTICE
Effective Date: October 2026
At Homely Mint, images are an important part of how we share home organization ideas, decor inspiration, storage solutions, small-space ideas, cleaning content, and useful home finds. We also understand that behind every photograph, illustration, design, or product image there may be a creator whose work deserves respect.
Homely Mint makes a good-faith effort to use images in ways that comply with applicable copyright principles, including fair use where applicable and the use of public-domain or appropriately licensed material. Homely Mint does not intend to infringe the copyright or intellectual property rights of photographers, designers, illustrators, brands, publishers, or other creators.
OUR APPROACH TO IMAGE USE
Homely Mint respects the work of photographers, interior designers, illustrators, graphic designers, product creators, brands, and other visual creators.
Because Homely Mint is a visual home and lifestyle website, images may come from several different sources. We aim to use images responsibly and to provide attribution when attribution is required or appropriate.
WHERE HOMELY MINT’S IMAGES COME FROM
Homely Mint may use images from a combination of original photography, public-domain collections, openly licensed sources, commercial stock libraries, editorial or product-related sources, and images submitted by readers or collaborators.
- ORIGINAL HOMELY MINT PHOTOGRAPHY
Some photographs may be created specifically for Homely Mint by the site owner or contributors.
When Homely Mint or an authorized contributor owns the applicable rights to an image, that photography may be used as original Homely Mint content.
Original photographs may include home organization setups, storage ideas, decor details, room arrangements, cleaning scenes, product arrangements, and other home-related visuals created for the website.
- PUBLIC-DOMAIN IMAGES
Homely Mint may use images that are genuinely in the public domain, meaning the applicable copyright protection has expired or the creator has placed the work into the public domain where legally permitted.
Possible institutional and public collections may include resources such as Wikimedia Commons, the Library of Congress, Smithsonian Open Access, and similar archives.
When using public-domain material, Homely Mint makes a reasonable effort to review the available source information and understand the stated rights status of the material.
- CREATIVE COMMONS AND OPENLY LICENSED IMAGES
Some images may be obtained from platforms that provide Creative Commons or other openly licensed material.
Sources may include:
- Unsplash
- Pexels
- Pixabay
- Flickr Commons
- Burst
Licenses can differ from one image to another. Homely Mint respects the applicable license terms for the individual image, including attribution requirements where applicable.
Where a license requires creator credit or a source link, Homely Mint makes a reasonable effort to provide that information.
- PAID STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY
Homely Mint may also use properly licensed commercial stock photography.
Depending on the content, licensed images may come from services such as:
- Shutterstock
- Adobe Stock
- Depositphotos
- iStock
- Getty Images
- Canva Pro
These images are used according to the applicable license terms.
Licensed stock photography may be useful for home decor inspiration, room styling, storage concepts, small-space ideas, product-related articles, and other visual content where appropriate.
- BRAND, EDITORIAL, AND PRODUCT IMAGES
Homely Mint may occasionally display photographs or other visual materials relating to home products, furniture, decor, storage solutions, household brands, or other products discussed on the website.
Such images may appear in editorial, informational, review, commentary, criticism, reporting, or product-related contexts where their use may qualify as fair use under applicable copyright law.
Where appropriate, Homely Mint may identify the relevant brand, photographer, publisher, or original source.
The presence of a brand or product image on Homely Mint does not necessarily mean that Homely Mint owns the image or is affiliated with the brand.
- READER, CONTRIBUTOR, AND COLLABORATOR SUBMISSIONS
Homely Mint may occasionally receive photographs or other visual materials from readers, contributors, collaborators, or partners.
Submitted material is used with appropriate permission or authorization. Where applicable, the creator or contributor may be credited according to the agreed terms.
If you have submitted an image to Homely Mint and later have a question about how it is being used, please contact us at homelymint@gmail.com.
HOW WE HANDLE ATTRIBUTION
When attribution is required, Homely Mint makes a reasonable effort to credit the original creator and provide a source link where practical.
This may include credit for Creative Commons material, editorial images, product photography, or other content where attribution is required or appropriate.
If you notice that a creator credit is missing, incomplete, incorrect, or linked to an outdated source, please let us know. We will review the information and update the attribution when appropriate.
WHEN AN IMAGE MAY APPEAR WITHOUT COMPLETE ATTRIBUTION
Homely Mint publishes and updates a large amount of visual content across its website and related content channels. Occasionally, an image may appear without complete or correct attribution because of human oversight, a broken source link, incomplete information, or because an image has circulated widely online before reaching Homely Mint.
This is not intentional.
If you are the creator or rights holder of an image and believe the attribution is missing or incorrect, please contact us. We are happy to review the situation and make an appropriate correction.
IF YOU ARE THE RIGHTS HOLDER
If you find your work on Homely Mint and believe something needs to be changed, we want to make the process simple.
You can choose whichever of these options works best for you:
- REQUEST PROPER CREDIT
You can ask Homely Mint to add or correct the creator credit and, where practical, include a link to the original source.
- REQUEST A CHANGE TO HOW THE IMAGE IS DISPLAYED
You can ask us to modify how the work appears, such as changing the crop, size, placement, watermark treatment, or source link where reasonably possible.
- REQUEST COMPLETE REMOVAL
If you would prefer that the image no longer appear on Homely Mint, you can simply ask us to remove it.

You do not need to hire a lawyer or send a formal legal notice before contacting Homely Mint about an image concern. A simple email explaining the situation is enough to start the conversation.
HOW TO MAKE IT EASY FOR US TO HELP YOU QUICKLY
To help us identify and review an image without unnecessary back-and-forth, please include:
- The link to the Homely Mint page where the image appears.
- The link to the original image or proof of ownership, such as your portfolio, photographer website, original publication, or another reliable source.
- Your name and preferred contact method.
- Your preferred solution, whether you would like proper credit, a change to the way the image is displayed, or complete removal.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE RECEIVE A REQUEST
Homely Mint will confirm receipt of the request and review the information provided.
Where reasonable, we may verify the rights holder’s claim and the available source information. We will then take the appropriate action, such as adding or correcting credit, modifying the display, or removing the image.
Where appropriate, we will follow up to confirm that the requested action has been completed.
OUR RESPONSE TIME
Homely Mint is committed to responding to genuine rights-holder requests within 48 hours.
Straightforward removal requests can usually be processed within the same business day when the image and the relevant Homely Mint page can be clearly identified.
Some requests may require additional information or review before a final action can be taken.
